Embedded Dissemination & Training Project​

To maximize utilization of our research findings, educational products, and policy resources, this project embeds our dissemination and training activities directly into the knowledge translation activities of leading national associations in behavioral health.

Harnessing AI to Access NIDILRR-funded Research

This project is designing and implementing an Artificial Intelligence (AI) chatbot to guide users to 50 years of federally funded projects conducted by the psychiatric disability rehabilitation research and training centers located at University of Illinois Chicago, Boston University, Temple University, and UMass Chan Medical School.

Online Education for Primary Care Providers​

Our team is creating and implementing an online educational platform for primary care providers to improve their ability to apply clinical skills from behavioral health within medical settings, in order to engage and treat people with serious mental health conditions. This project is a collaboration with Live & Learn, Inc.

Guiding Patients to Use Electronic Patient Portals

This tailored education will involve creation of a multimedia guide to train health and behavioral health providers to support people with serious mental health conditions in using electronic patient portals to participate in their medical care. This project will be a collaboration with Collaborative Support Programs of New Jersey.

PAR Podcast ​

Our participatory action research podcast series features youth and adults with mental health conditions reflecting on their roles in research, along with suggestions to promote inclusion in all stages of scientific inquiry.

Healthcare Integration 

This program provides medical education, curricular transformation, and workforce development across the 3 University of Illinois College of Medicine campuses to improve the capacity of emerging physicians to deliver effective, integrated primary and behavioral health care.

This project will result in a Solutions Suite toolkit to promote the use of peer health navigators to improve care coordination for patients with mental health conditions.
