The Center is located in the Department of Psychiatry of the University of Illinois at Chicago. The Center's research and evaluation address self-directed care, integrated health and mental health services, co-occurring disability and medical conditions, supported employment, and systems reform. We offer a Practice, Policy, and Science Exchange of training, dissemination, and technical assistance activities for the field. We seek to enhance the health and well-being of people with psychiatric disabilities and co-occurring medical conditions, improve their employment outcomes, and stimulate the development of self-directed recovery models. We promote self-determination and full community participation for individuals in recovery from mental illnesses. |
